Job Summary:
As the National Accounts Sales Executive, you will sell U.S., Canada & Mexico Customs services, North American domestic truck & rail (Intermodal) and International Ocean & Air transportation services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop Suspect [1] opportunities from personal knowledge, business directories, data bases, websites and other sources. Suspects are not limited by territory or area. Qualify Suspect business opportunities into Prospects [2] by gathering specific intelligence and evaluation to meeting minimum target profile (minimum $10,000 annual revenue). Analyze business opportunities in terms of profitability to the company and benefit to the client. Maintain high proficiency is use of company preferred resources as outlined on page 2 under Computer Skills which may change from time to time and new and improved resources become available. Prepare and present comprehensive Service Proposals. Able to effectively convey the competitive differences and client benefits to close the Prospect into a Client [3]. Minimize face to face meetings with use of Webex and teleconferencing. Generate new business, minimum Gross Revenue (Billing less direct expenses) annual minimum budget of $250,000. Clients must be able to meet payment terms as mutually agreed. Work with (inside) Account Manager and DCST (Dedicated Client Service Team) to assure client satisfaction and development of new business opportunities. Able to detect client dissatisfaction issues and follow through with Account Manager (DCST) and client for adjustments and resolution.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor degree; or minimum 3 years experience in the Customs and/or logistics industry dealing with U.S. and Canadian based importers. Must have a highly successful new business development track-record and/or a strong knowledge of Customs and logistics services for U.S. and Canadian based importers.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in MS Word@, Excel@, Power Point@, internet Webexe based meetings (for sales presentations), Salesforceฎ contact management software and TA proprietary software to include TRANSTRAK (shipment tracking software) and TRANSLINK (trade resource management software).
Language Ability:
Highly skilled and thoroughly competent in English, speaking, writing and reading. Able to analyze and interpret government tariff schedules, regulations, general business periodicals, professional journals and technical procedures.
Job Pay / Benefits:
