Resume Privacy Options

LogJobs requests job seeker users to provide contact information so that they may be reached by registered member clients. LogJobs may also use such information to contact applicants as necessary.

You can post your resume in "confidential" format.Resumes displayed in confidential format will not show name, address or phone number. To further safeguard your confidentiality, on your resume you may refer to your current employer as "confidential" rather than by actual name. Persons presenting a resume in confidential format may be contacted by email by interested employers or recruiters. If you feel your email address could potentially reveal your identity, we encourage you to set up an alternate anonymous email address for use with your resume with Logjobs and other resume boards that you may utilize.

You may also apply to select jobs on Logjobs without posting your resume into the database. When you choose the job(s) you wish to apply to, you will go through the process of posting your resume, you will then be given the option to check off a box labeled "Private".This will ensure that your resume does not get posted into the database when you apply to said job.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Deletion, Change and Modification Options

You may delete, change or update your information at any time.

We grant access to our resume database only to registered member clients who may include human resource professionals and hiring managers of employers and recruiters.

Registered member recruiter clients with access to Logjobs database may have retained a copy of your resume in their own files. Logjobs is not responsible for recruiters' retention, use or privacy of resumes in such cases.

Information We Collect

In an effort to maintain the quality of LogJobs, our network and other user contributed content, we reserve certain areas for registered users. For each registered user, we collect the user's chosen email ID, first name, last name, city and state of residence, email address, and occupation and any other personal information you may provide throughout your experience. Information collected may also be used to perform statistical analyses of user behavior and characteristics in order to measure interest in and use of the various areas of the site and to inform advertisers of such information as well as the number of users that have been exposed to, or clicked on their advertising banners. This information can also be used by Logjobs to contact users regarding their account. We generally do not otherwise disclose personal information, but may (i) to the extent we believe necessary to respond to subpoenas, court orders, legal process or to prosecute or defend legal claims, (ii) to the extent we believe necessary to investigate or prevent fraud or illegal activities, (iii) to our marketing partners who do work on our behalf and (iv) to the extent we believe necessary in connection with a merger or acquisition.

Information Collected by Third Party Advertising Companies.

We are able to offer Logjobs as a free service to job seekers because we charge fees from employers and recruiters to post jobs and access resumes and we are advertising supported. Our advertising is currently served by third party advertising companies, which deliver a cookie to you so the ads you see can be tracked and ensures that you are delivered a relevant ad that you may find appealing. Conversely, these systems are in place so that you are not shown the same ad too many times. Since third party advertising companies are only authorized to tag your computer with a number, they should not obtain any individually identifiable information about you. Although Logjobs does not provide these third party advertising companies with any personally identifiable information, it is possible that they may use non-personally identifiable information about your visits to the Logjobs and other sites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.

Links to Partner and Advertiser Sites

Throughout Logjobs you will see links to advertiser and partner web sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such non-Logjobs web sites and we do not control the practices of any of our advertisers or partners to whom we are linked. Logjobs also displays jobs from partner sites in addition to the job postings that it sells. It is common that your job search or job browsing will lead you to these jobs. If you are interested in such jobs and decide to click on them, you may be taken off of the Logjobs site and onto a partner’s job hiring site. While we are assured by our partners that these jobs are vetted for legitimacy all times, Logjobs does not assume responsibility for fraudulent jobs displayed by our partners and advises that our job seekers exercise caution at all times when they come across a job that arises suspicion.

Discussion Boards / Profile Page / Connections

Part of what makes Logjobs special is the ability of users to share information with one another; therefore Logjobs in part is made up in part of user contributed content. With that, we ask that you please acknowledge that any information you disclose in these public discussion areas becomes public information and is immediately accessible in and possibly throughout the Logjobs community as well as the entire web. It is important that you use discretion and appropriate caution when deciding to reveal personal information in these areas. We are not responsible for information posted on our site by users and request that you refrain from posting any information that might be deemed libelous, defamatory, pornographic, obscene or otherwise objectionable.You may learn more about this by visiting our Terms.

Furthermore, if you post a discussion, or participate in a discussion, or if you import a blog, you should be aware that any personally identifiable information you choose to provide may be read, collected, or used by other Users and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. Your name may also appear in association with your discussions and participation on third party sites. Logjobs is not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit in these areas.

When you enter Logjobs we collect your browser type and IP address. This information is collected from all Logjobs users. Cookies are small text files residing on the user’s computer identifying you as a unique user. We also use cookies to store user preferences, record session information, record specific user information on pages that users access or visit, alert users to new areas that we feel might be of interest to them when they return to our site, customize web page content based on user browser type or other information that the user sends. The cookie will also store the registered user’s email ID and password to make signing into Logjobs more convenient upon their next visit.

Security

Your Logjobs account is password-protected. We use industry standard measures to protect your information that is stored within our database. Although these practices are adhered to closely, we cannot guarantee to you that personally identifiable information that we collect will never be disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Statement. Children Under 13

Children under the age of 13 years of age are expressly prohibited from submitting or posting any personal data on LogJobs. LogJobs does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13 nor are they allowed to knowingly register. If you are under the age of 13, please do not attempt to register here at Logjobs or send any information pertaining to yourself. Should it be discovered that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, that information will be deleted as efficiently as possible.

Minors Between 13-18

We recommend that all children under the age of 18 obtain their parent's consent prior to engaging in any correspondence here at LogJobs and on the internet.

Applicable Law

LogJobs is controlled from the United States. The Site is not intended to subject it to the laws or jurisdiction of any other state, country or territory. Users choosing to access Logjobs do so at their own initiative and are responsible for complying with all local laws, rules and regulations.

Accessing and Changing Your Account Information

Registered users can review their personal information they provided to Logjobs and make changes to the information at any time by logging in to their account and editing the information on the privacy settings page. Users may also close their account by contacting LogJobs via our Contact page. Users may also delete their resume at any time by signing in and clicking on the "Delete Your Resume" button.

Revisions to Privacy Statement

Periodically, Logjobs will update its Privacy Statement. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the statement changes. These changes along with the existing statement would become the new policy moving forward. We reserve the right to make revisions to our Privacy Statement at any time and encourage you to review the statement on an ongoing basis.
